In Skye’s Repose you explore lonely, floating islands home only to living elementals of magic power and the ruins of a civilization long forgotten. Befriend the mages who were stuck here years ago, solve the ancient riddles of the land to unlock new powers, and farm and gather resources to create the tools to help you try to get home.
You wake up in this world with no memories and nobody to help you find your way. Soon you discover the elementals, living motes of magical energy you can harness, and portals that let you link to far-off mages who can answer a few of your questions. This strange world around you begins to make more sense.
You also discover farmable land, grow mystical crops, and locate devices that use elementals to make your life easier every step of the way.
The Mages you meet came to this land before you, and as you offer them gifts and help with their problems, you gain their friendship, which can lead to gifts from them and advice to help you escape this world.
The land itself consists of a dozen floating islands waiting for you to explore. Creep through a volcanic cave, explore a forest, or wander a desert wasteland uncovering the secrets within them. As you solve more puzzles, you’ll unlock power beyond your wildest dreams and discover there’s always another secret to uncover and answers to be found as you get ever closer to finding your way home.
Notes on the demo:
Because this game is still in development, some features are incomplete. Only a few of the islands are available for exploration, but the demo lets you get a feel for the gameplay and story. Go ahead and explore and farm and locate a mage or two to give you some quests and answers.
Additionally, a lot of art is not complete, namely character art and the UI. I’m a programmer with zero art skills. A lot of the art is from asset packs I’ve gathered over the years, and I’m using stand-in AI art for characters until I can hire an artist to make proper art for the game.
